Dr. Emily Malihi is an orthodontist born in Colorado Springs and now proud to serve patients throughout the Denver community. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Colorado School of Mines with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry before earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, where she was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society. She continued her advanced training at the University of Colorado, completing a Master of Science and a certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Dr. Malihi is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics—a recognition of her expertise, commitment to excellence, and dedication to ethical patient care. Patients choose Dr. Malihi for her thoughtful, compassionate approach and her passion for delivering the highest quality orthodontic care. She stays at the forefront of advancements in her field, ensuring her patients benefit from the latest techniques, technologies, and evidence-based treatment planning. Dr. Angela Schmidt is a board-certified prosthodontist who has advanced knowledge and skill to diagnose and treat complex interdisciplinary care, focusing on full arch rehabilitation utilizing natural dentition, implants, and removable options. Board certification signifies her commitment to the highest standards of the specialty. Driven by a passion for creating functional and esthetic smiles, Dr. Schmidt takes a comprehensive approach to treatment planning, ensuring each patient receives individualized care tailored to their unique needs and goals. Dr. Schmidt has a keen eye for creating highly esthetic, yet natural-looking smiles. She is known for her empathetic approach and commitment to caring for patients like they are family. Dr. Schmidt, the fourth dentist in her family, was born and raised in Wisconsin and has made Colorado her second home since childhood. Dr. Schmidt started her education at St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin, where she earned her B.S. in Biology with a Biomedical Sciences concentration. She earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Marquette University School of Dentistry, where she was distinguished with the “Best of the Best in Prosthodontics” and “Outstanding Student in Implant Dentistry” awards. Dr. Schmidt then advanced her expertise at the University of Illinois Chicago’s Advanced Prosthodontics Program, receiving both a certificate in Prosthodontics and an M.S. in Oral Sciences.

Becky Neitzke

Periodontist
Dr. Becky Neitzke is a board-certified periodontist from Grand Rapids, Minnesota, committed to elevating both oral health and overall wellness through personalized, evidence-based care. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Gustavus Adolphus College and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. After graduating, she was commissioned into the United States Air Force, where she completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at David Grant Medical Center in California. Dr. Neitzke went on to complete her periodontics residency at the Air Force Postgraduate Dental School in San Antonio, along with a Master of Science in Dental Sciences from the University of Texas Health Science Center. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and an active member of both the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Periodontology. After 13 years of active duty service in the U.S. Air Force, she separated as a Lieutenant Colonel and continues serving as a reservist based in Colorado Springs. She is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their care, focusing on clear communication, tailored treatment plans, and a strong connection between oral and whole-body health.

Brian Minavi

Dr. Brian Minavi is a highly trained endodontist born and raised in Houston, TX. His educational path took him through College Station, Houston, and Oklahoma City before ultimately bringing him to Denver—a place he now proudly calls home. Dr. Minavi graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston, completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the University of Oklahoma, and returned to Houston to complete his Endodontic Residency and Master of Dental Science. He has passed both the written and oral board examinations administered by the American Board of Endodontics and is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists. Dr. Minavi was drawn to dentistry by the opportunity to change patients’ lives—whether restoring comfort, improving function, or enhancing esthetics. He loves the face-to-face connection of private practice and felt called to specialize after discovering a passion for mastering one field deeply and consistently. Endodontics, in particular, brings him joy because it allows him to relieve dental pain quickly and transform anxious, fearful patients into confident, comfortable ones. He believes in the profound importance of saving natural teeth and preserving the dentition for long-term health. Known for his meticulous attention to detail, Dr. Minavi strives to give every patient the best experience possible. He focuses on comfort, communication, and individualized care—often thinking creatively or going above and beyond to meet each patient’s unique needs. He takes immense pride in his work and holds himself to the highest standards of accuracy, efficiency, and clinical excellence. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Minavi enjoys spending time with his family, exploring Denver’s restaurants with his wife, reading about history, culture, and economics, and participating in a variety of sports including soccer, basketball, and tennis. He also loves attending conferences around the country and unwinding with strategy games like Magic The Gathering.

Andrew Griebel

Dr. Griebel is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon from Indiana who brings a calm, honest, and patient-first approach to every surgical experience. He earned his undergraduate degree from Indiana University, completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Louisville, and went on to finish his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Drawn to the specialty for its unique combination of anesthesia and surgery, Dr. Griebel is dedicated to providing clear communication, exceptional technical care, and a reassuring presence for patients at every step. Beyond the operatory, Dr. Griebel is committed to giving back and regularly participates in mission trips, often teaching dental students along the way. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys book club, volleyball, basketball, ping pong, board games, and music. His philosophy is simple: deliver excellent work, stay honest, and make every patient feel supported and understood.

“Dr Minavi is the MVP of root canals. I came to him on a referral from my orthodontist who couldn’t figure out why I had tooth sensitivity on biting on my second premolar. A dentist had diagnosed me with a fractured tooth errantly. I went to Dr. M for a second opinion -- he was able to correctly diagnose it as a rare internal resorption tooth via a 3D cone beam scan. I was super bummed out to learn I needed an emergency root canal (my first ever) and that we were only slowing the process of resorption vs. stopping it. Dr. M provided me with his cell phone number, even took calls on the weekend, alleviating my fears and thoroughly answering my questions before I had a root canal 4 days later. The root canal itself was a cake walk. Very choreographed and comfortable. No pain during and maybe 2/10 pain the next day. Dr. Minavi wants to do the best for his patients, and his caring nature really shone through.
